Work hack: Make the phone call

One of the downsides of modern work is that we overly rely on e-mail to communicate.

How many threads have you been a part of where you go back and forth asking questions about some task and then it somehow chews up half a day trying to figure out what actually needs to get done.

You know what's better than e-mail for situations like this?

A phone call.

A 5-10 minute phone call can clear things up real quick. Humans can communicate much more information over voice than text in a short period of time.

You'll be more productive AND you'll be able to display your charm over voice, which will help you build those critical relationships as a 1099.

So make the phone call.
