One thing at at time

When you first start thinking about going 1099, it's easy to get overwhelmed by the number of tasks that you have to do.

Get a client, form an LLC, find insurance, etc.

The key to accomplishing all these things with lower stress levels is to do these sequentially, not concurrently, and in priority order.

Start with getting your first client.

ONLY focus on activities related to getting your first client until you have a handshake agreement.

Once you have that, then do your admin work.

Once your admin work is complete, then focus on making sure you become a superstar on your first project.

If you have 10 different things on your to-do list at any given time, you won't do them all and you'll feel guilty and then be discouraged from accomplishing any of it.

So one thing at a time, and work systematically through your to-do list.
