Negotiations are casual
Yesterday I negotiated some rates with a new prime for some prospective employees I'm trying to bring on board the contract.
Me and my lawyers and the prime program manager and their lawyers met in a corporate conference room in downtown DC and yelled at each other for hours about deal points and threatening to walk away.
Just kidding.
The PM and I texted some prospective number to each other and reached an agreement. We'll do the paperwork later.
Negotiations can really be that casual.
If both parties want the deal to work there doesn't need to be any aggressive formality like you see in the movies.
