Long-term lucky

When I was looking for a new project, a former friend and client introduced me to a Deloitte PM.

We had a good conversation and he indicated he had a project for me.

Great!

But then it fell through.

I was bummed.

I pinged him about once per month for about 9 months and then he had a project for me, which I joined.

This is a common pattern. Luck rarely seems to manifest early in your efforts.

But give it a few months or years and usually something positive and concrete happens.

So when your start pursue something new or different, give a consistent effort for at least a year.

There's a good chance you'll get lucky.
