Lifestyle upgrades for 1099s

Since you'll make more money as a 1099, I wanted to share a few lifestyle upgrades that I have found to be worth it YMMV.

Here's what's worth it:

  • Taking Uber when parking or public transportation is going to be a zoo
  • Moving to a nicer neighborhood
  • Nicer hotels when traveling
  • Bigger savings account/emergency fund/retirement funds
  • Switching to "Ads Free" versions of your current streaming services
  • Picking up the tab at happy hour for your friends every once in a while
  • Lawn care service
  • Extra time off (The one thing I'd choose)

Basically things that remove hassle and stress or that increase my free time are worth it to me.
