Build your client's influence

My current client runs the People Analytics team at a government agency and she is trying to build out her team's reputation and influence.

I built a dashboard that we demo'ed to another organization. They loved it!

My client was happy, but not JUST because we built something cool.

It's because that other organization now will lean on her team a bit more.

This builds her influence at the agency which will help her get even more resources, get promoted, get more authority, etc.

So your job as a 1099 is never really just to do the job. Your job is to do your work in a way that helps your client get what they want.
