Be enthusiastic with your clients
You know how there's always that one guy in the meeting who is always talking about why a particular plan won't work or what the risks are?
Don't be that guy.
Yes, he may be right about certain things but he is a buzz kill and you know what clients hate the most?
Buzz kills.
Instead, bring some enthusiasm to your meetings and ideas that have the potential to work, rather than just presenting all the ways things won't work out.
You don't have to be the grinning suck-up. Just ask smart questions, throw out ideas that you could execute, and express confidence that things will work out.
Clients love this, and the more you endear yourself to your clients, the more successful you wil be in your 1099 career.
