When to leave money on the table

Money isn't everything. Here are some situations where leaving some money on the table is totally worth it:

  • Leaving a lucrative project because the client or team is sucky
  • Taking extra vacation time
  • Taking time for personal hobbies or side projects
  • Leaving a project because it's too boring
  • Not taking a project because the commute is terrible
  • Leaving work early to take a nap
  • Leaving work early for an impromptu date with your spouse

What would be worth giving up a few bucks in billable revenue for? I'd love to know.
